Latest reviews for YELLOH! VILLAGE LA CHÊNAIE
Currently staying on this site, and enjoying ourselves. Friendly reception, easy and quick check in. Lovely grass plot, we have a big van 9mLovely pool area with plenty of sunbeds. Cycle route into Pornic. So relaxing!Would recommend!!
Steve and Ali. Nice place to stay, good location. Concern over some pitches being large enough to manoeuvre a motor home in and out and only one set of 4 showers open during our stay which lead to queuing up. Otherwise a nice site with friendly and helpful staff.
This place is a great little campsite. A free bus to the beech and port meant that the car was hardly used. Sometimes we walked along the canal into town and then got the bus back. Will be visiting again and writing a good report for Select Sites.
Vermin Infested, terrible customer service & an aggressive owner. We stayed here in a caravan in Aug 2016. Family of 6 (4 kids: 8, 6, 3, 1).We normally swear by Yelloh, and have had fantastic holidays in other Yelloh Campsites, but not so here.I was an utterly forgettable experience. To make it worse - Yelloh totally disregarded our concerns afterwards, and stated that they are not responsible for their campsites.Firstly - general observations to help people:- some pitches are miles from the sanitary blocks- children’s splash pool area is up a load of steps away from other pools- games and entertainment area is in a roofed smoking area- gravel pats not suitable for scooters or buggies- Wifi is expensive - you have to pay for half hour slots - poor coverage away from the centre- Vermin issues - ants, mice and snakes- we were given a rough ex mobile pitch @ a 10% discount- It was VERY rough- Ants everywhere, a snake, mice, no water- They fixed the water - nothing else- After multiple requests for help we had to move pitches- Ants were in kids beds and our food- In the move our caravan got cracked- The owner was very dismissive and abrupt and eventually agreed to pay for the damage- Turned out he was going to get a car repairer to "patch it"- When we declined he tried to physically snatch the repair quote from my terrified wife, in front of horrified guests and children- Lost a week of an expensive holiday with all of the stress- When I complained to Yelloh, they totally decoupled themselves from the campsite and refused to stand over the service
Great campsite. Amazing receptionist. Pornic is a lovely town. Visited during may so fairly quiet. Excellent for kids though walking routes to town and beach could do with an upgrade.
