Lovely campsite with very friendly staff. Excellent facilities and beautiful surroundings. Pitches are large and grassy with mature trees. There is a lake adjacent to the site with a small restaurant. Small town about a mile away, easy to walk to. From there you can get a bus to Nante. Highly recommended
Nearby to a large supermarket and large lake with some facilities. Toilets are fairly new and were kept clean. Tennis courts at the edge of the site which can be booked online.Nice cycle to Nantes which is worth a visit. A quiet site but with occasional noisy visitors who stayed 1 or 2 nights and theres no employee on site to deal with them.
This is a fairly run down campsite 25 minutes from Nantes. We stayed here for a single night while heading north. The owner, or man on reception, is sadly a classically obnoxious local. I greeted him in French and then asked if he would be willing to speak English. His response was to ask me if I would like to speak French instead. His tone was snide and difficult and he made the check in process feel needlessly awkward.Bizarrely, the electric gate at the front of the campsite
A very nice Campsite. WE had a great time at Camping Du Chene during our stay in June. The owners were fantastic - they helped us when we had a broken Jockey Wheel, gave us excellent directions to local attractions, and even rescued our cat from a 5 metre high tree at 20.30 hrs!! WE also appreciated the security gates. The only thing we did not like is that it is noisy in the surrounding area on a Saturday night, and you can hear repetitive music from presumably a nearby club at intervals all through the night. But that is not within the control of the campsite - they were fantastic, and ewe had a lovely pitch. It was also a very friendly site for talking with neighbours from all countries, and we had great excursions along the Loire and into Nantes. WE liked it so much that we booked 8 nights instead of 5, and cut off days from the rest of our tour. Highly recommended.
Lovely campsite. Friendly staff. Clean shower and toilet block. Wonderful bar and restaurant right by the lake. Only stayed one night as we were on way south but could have stayed longer
