Small but very nice camping! In 2024 everything looks very new!
Not suitable for tourers. Should not be advertised as 5*
Delightful camping with an excellent countryside location but in close proximity to the sea at LaTurballe (3 Kms) and the historical charm of Guerande (5 Kms). Friendly, helpful personnel and all facilities in an appropriate state. Good, peaceful walking and cycling in all directions. We came for 2 nights and stayed for 7 - why move on!?
Camping Ste Brigitte is GREAT'!This beautiful calm parkland surrounding the 'Manoir de Brehet' close to La Turballe, is this season in full swing. We met for the first time a delightful new couple, Frank and Isabelle, who have joined team Ste Brigitte bringing with them a fresh sense of energy and enthusiasm. The park is once again well manicured, the swimming pool paddling pool and surrounding sun terrace pristine, the toilets and showers redecorated and immaculate as are the surrounding dish washing areas, laundry and toddler bathing room. The restaurant is open but we cannot comment since we have after many years our favourites close by.Bien fait Madam Chabilier! (Brigitte to those who have visited for many years)After a painful previous season with a hip overdue for replacement the operation is now behind you and we can all continue to love 'The Park' around your beautiful Manoir,as you have done so for many years.Truly beautiful and really worth a visit situated in this diverse area around the estuary of the Loire.Already looking forward to seeing you all in July.Worth 5 stars especially if you like some dappled shade in high season.Don't forget your bikes, fishing tackle and table tennis bats!!!
We have just returned from a stay in one of the caravans on the camping site. Although it is high season (August) we felt that the price was too high for the quality of accomodation and the facilities. The pool is great. It is covered so the children were able to go in on the colder days where it rained which was a godsend. Nice little park for the younger children and a Boules pitch and volley ball net.The restaurant was over priced to the point where hardly any one ever used it. I cannot understand why they do not reduce the prices for the simple food they are offering and it would be busier and provide a nice central place to congregate. The staff were friendly enough and the site is set in a beautiful area. However, on the day we left to catch the ferry boat from Caen, we gave in our keys. One of the staff members went to check the caravans and we were shocked to be told that the caravan must be cleaned from top to bottom before we could leave with our 100 euro deposit. No cleaning materials were provided so we had to use washing up liquid and the one dishcloth that we had brought with us. We cleaned the caravan to the best of our ability with the limited resources we had, but we were very unsettled to know that the caravans would not be cleaned further for the next guests due to check in on the same day. The information provided was that we were to leave the caravan as we found it. We obviously cleared up and swept it out, but presumed that the cleaner would come in to clean after we had left.It seems wrong to expect the guests who are paying a large fee for the caravan are then expected to save the campsite money by not employing a cleaner and expecting the guests to do it all before they leave for a huge long journey home.We paid 6 euros per person for a set of sheets which were mismatched and not a complete set. We had to keep going to the owners to remind them about bedding on the first day and even though we checked in at 2pm, we only received our sheets at 9pm that evening.Although there were some good things about the campsite, we would not return as we felt the prices were generally too high and there was a sense that the owner was trying to get as much as she could out of the customers
