Latest reviews for CAMPING LES CHOUANS
Loved it! Small and quiet campsite and this is why I would highly recommend it. Very clean and cabin was to a very high standard. The pool area is small but very good - clean and safe. The kids loved the slides and rapid river. Parents loved the quiet and calm feel to the campsite. Lovely staff - extremely helpful with everything we asked, including organizing a visit to a local English-speaking doctor. Great access to bike trails. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet week. Maybe not for older kids/teens but my kids (ages 11, 9 & 7) loved it!One small gripe - hot water in the cabin was intermittent but we learnt to work with it.
Nope, never again. I cannot understand how this site gets 5 stars. We are crammed on pitch 145 at the back of the site up by the staff caravan on what is the sites smallest pitch guaranteed. We are in a dune 6 which to be honest is really nice and almost brand new but I cannot forgive the total lack of outside space, literally nothing. The staff keep coming and going, squeeze down the side of our van to nip to pool area rather than walk around so no privacy and we are 3ft from one caravan and 4ft from another. There is not one other pitch like ours. The pool area is nice, slides are a hit with the children but everything is in French only, kids club, entertainment, everything. The site also has Dino Park across the road so the hourly show with its loud music is only 100 yds from our pitch. As you can read, we really are not impressed and can it recommend this site. Booking direct, paying balance early etc does nothing. I couldn't risk being crammed in this corner ever again.
Very nice resort with everything to spend good time in family. You may enjoy the pools, the entertainments for kids, family but also night concert by local bands. We will address only one recommendation to the Management which is to furnish the "baby bed" with a mattress... A bed is not only structure :-).We recommend "Les chouans"!
We had a lovely stay.. the pool area was clean and a bonus for the men not needing to wear speedos.. the site overall was well kept. The fresh baked bread and croissants each morning were too nice to resist. Only thing I struggled with was unisex toilets but eventually got used to it. Would recommend and will be back next year.
We stayed here for a week and liked the basic amenities of the mobile home and the decking outside. It has a great location, really close to St. Jean de Monts and Saint Hilaire de Reiz. Close to a U express and a Hyper U, there's also an E. Leclerc 15 minutes away. You can go to Les sables d'olonne. There are some waterparks nearby, but the pool is great, two bouncy simple slides, a steep fast slide and a relaxing green slide. It is a nice quiet campsite except if your near the entertainment area, which is quite loud. The food on-site is alright, the pizzas are not nice but the chips aren't bad. We didn't buy the pastries in the morning as the Hyper U is very nearby and offers fresh produce, maybe even better than the shop and more choice. The gift shop only really contains food but no branded items or stuff like that.
