Latest reviews for CAMPING MILLE ÉTOILES
I rarely rate things on google but this camp site has deserved it: We have had a lovely stay as a family on one of the most beautiful camp sites we have ever been too. Safari lodges are just perfect for a family. Camp hosts are very friendly and caring. Can really recommend it 100%
Great location for a campsite - track leading right down to the gorge. Very friendly staff and good, value for money food.
This is one of the most exceptional places anyone interested in camping can end up . It's not Backcountry camping but uniquely positioned in the nature reserve of the Ardeche gorge with a sparse utilization of the area, it is a real great nature experience. Placing the tents under the old stone oaks gives you shade and adapted climate the whole season. Since it is focused on this there is no animation and loud program but a unique nature experience ... You share most time with like minded people. On top, you may spare the dealing with your own stuff but can rent a romantic yourt or even a complete furnished safari lodge. An incredible awesome place.Considering some rankings or the international cool camping guide definitely one of the best campgrounds in Europe.Considering that there is nearly no Backcountry camping in France anywhere, it is as close to an unencumbered nature experience as it will get.
It's the best campsite I've ever visited, and I've been 4 or 5 times now, I think in all of the accommodation options by now (tent pitch, safari lodge, tent on stilts) and enjoyed each of them. I love it there! Nadine and Laurent are lovely, friendly and helpful. Reading through the reviews, it seems the average score from actual clients (rather than passing hikers with an incredible sense of entitlement) is close to 4.8 or 4.9 so if you are considering spending a few days in pure tranquility, you can do a lot worse than Mille Etoiles.
Very nice campsite with large pitches and good facilities. We are with our own tent, but you can rent them as well. The restaurant serves good food and the owners (a couple) are very friendly. Great to see that there are still people that love running a 2 star campsite! Before picking this campsite we read the reviews and... the 1 stars are quite... wrong. Like the one being unhappy about the cars not next to your tent, I think it is great not having cars speeding at the campsite. Or the compaint about the bathrooms not being clean, well... they are cleaned daily and it's the guests leaving them dirty - luckely the less stars a campsite, the cleaner the guests.I would say: don't consider twice, go to this nice place and enjoy!
