Latest reviews for CAMPING LE LOGIS DU BREUIL
Fantastic campsite, great facilities and swimming complex. Only stayed three nights, wish we had booked more. Will definitely be back next year for longer! Many thanks to you all.Foord-Joseph family 👍
Beautiful site, quiet with friendly staff. Many beautiful beaches nearby and has a lovely swimming pool. The pitches are huge, and I mean huge, and the amenity blocks are spotless. Language isn’t an issue but it’s nice to try and is appreciated by the locals. Shop on site but there’s a co op and bakery five minutes walk away. Well recommended
Nice big camping pitches. Quite a way from the beach, but access to a path and 6km walk or a short car ride. Restaurant / Bar was shut, which was a real disappointment for us - we were not told this before arrival which was a shame as reportedly it had been shut since 15 August.
We had a lovely friendly welcome on arrival and were given a booklet about the site and the area which was very informative. We had a choice of a few fully serviced pitches (water electricity and drainage) and the one we chose was huge. There was loads of room for our American RV, Trailer and car plus heaps of room to sit out. The site is immaculately clean. There are plenty of facilities and washing machines. The pool area is lovely with loads of sunbeds. We loved to see gardeners around each day tidying up and doing maintenance. There is a shop on site in case you forget anything. There are Supermarkets not far away in St Palais Sur Mer or Royan. It was very peaceful even though when we arrived there were a lot of folks there. Its close to the sea for a nice stroll in the evening. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from in the area. The restaurant and bar on site has unfortunately had to shut as it couldn’t make a profit. A van turns up most evenings run by some young lads just starting out on this venture. There was a few teething problems but I hope it works out for them. All in all this has to be one of our favourite sites in the 2 ½ months we have been travelling around France. Thank you for a lovely stay and we would 100% recommend.
Just finished a 3 week holiday here.Would i return again YES.Mix of British, French, Dutch - All friendly, met and spoke to loads of people.Owners very polite and friendly.Pitches:Caravan / Motorhome / Tent pitches are huge. Plenty of room. Some pitches in sun, some in the shade. State what you prefer on booking. - No issues for us.Also available are Service Pitches.Toilet Blocks:3 big toilet / shower / washing blocks dotted around the site, Showers were fine. No waiting around. Water Temp was fine. No issues.Pool:Newly Built pool complex with slides and mini pool for younger kids, also has a covered pool and a lazy river type pool.Slides are fun, water depth in the slides area is about 1m. Other depths vary across the pool.Didn't feel quished with lots of people in pool.Plenty of sun loungers dotted around the pool area for sun bathing.Showers are changing rooms are also within the pool complex.Reception:Very helpful and friendly, lots of tourist leaflets to have a look through. They also sell few nice bottles of wine in reception.Lady speaks French, English, Spanish. She also recommended local Vet and Car garage to us.On Site Shop:Opens 8am, you can pre-order your baguettes / Choco pans night before or just turn up early at 8am.Shop sells the bear essentials.Biking:You can hire bikes from reception and go out on the tracks. As a family - Bike tracks are towards the back of the site and is mostly tarmac going towards La Palmyre (10km). Plenty of bike signs to various small towns. (La Palmyre, Palais, Breuillet)You can bike to the beach, have a coffee and wander around for a good few hours and bike back.Park:Good Kids sized park with play forts, zip lines, swings, see-saws. Ideal 3-12Yrs. Opened in mornings and locked in evenings. This is meeting point for kids to play for few hours.Kids in the evening play hide and seek with the parkie, this is very popular and both my boys still talk about this.Gaming Room and Book Room:2 small converted barns units. Lots of kids in the gaming room most days.Tennis Court:Tennis court available. You have to pay for hourly rate to hire.Boules Pitch:Located next to the Tennis Court, sandy boules pitch.Football / Basketball complex:This gets used mostly by the bigger kids and generally this is the meeting point for kids after Tea for a football match.Entertainment:Archery is on offer every Wed and Sunday in the big grassy area. This is popular, everyone gets a go.Circus comes on site once a week, again this is popular. Kids love it.Restaurant / Bar:While we were there restaurant and bar were busy most evenings. Cannot comment on food as we cooked in our caravan.Restaurant however is in the process of changing hands, they are now closed awaiting for new owners to come along.Vet for Dog: - English Speaking.Fully recommend Vet in Breuillet (Clinique Veterinaire des Dr Laure Mauriat et Dr Olivier Marchal) +33546025956.15 drive from site, got a next day appointment, English speaking.
