Latest reviews for CAMPING FONTAINE DU ROC
Came in late in the day and the owners were very understanding and friendly. Campsite is very quiet, the view at the entrance is stunning (can see Chateau Biron over a field of flowers), food was nice and owners were very friendly and gave us tidbits of knowledge of area. Just wish signage to campsite was better as a bit hard to find. Definitely recommend.
We booked there as a last resort and was charged €73 for 2 nights, no discount for ACSI. There were 3/4 other units on site. Limited sanitary facilities were open, and the privacy cubicles locked off. The communal area for washing/shaving etc the water was cold. I took advantage of the swimming pool to find I was sharing with a lot of dead insects, albeit the automatic pool cleaner was working but not doing a lot. I couldn't find the the dog walk area as everything was overgrown. I walked our dogs on the main road which was not ideal but the road fortunately was quiet. The bar restaurant was shut although it was advertised as open. I would not use the site again. The two people running the site were friendly enough.
What a lovely camping! The (new) owners are very friendly. Nice and quiet location, but still enough to do, also for the kids. Great views from the terrain. Perfect swimming pool. Shade and sun available on most plots. Safari tents, chalets and normal camping places available. Wi-Fi and the reception and pool. This place will become very more popular soon :).
Quite the most amazing campsite with the kindest and helpful owners. We were really badly let down by a campsite that advertises dog friendly pitches near monpazier - after leaving that site because the owners were so rude we came across Laurent and his family at Camping Fontaine Du Roc. They have been just brilliant- the site is chalets, safari tents and touring and camping pitches. There is loads to do for kids - an amazing pool woth slides etc and just the most charming and helpful hosts. Nothing is too much trouble, they welcomed our 3 little dogs and were so generous with their time and advice. I cannot rate this site highly enough. Its a 3 star but the quality staff make it 5 star
Lovely
