Latest reviews for YELLOH! VILLAGE LA PLAINE
First time staying at a Yelloh visit site- it was fantastic. We had a 2 bed chalet, which was well equipped. I was a bit apprehensive about the beds and aircon, and Bedrooms are small , but that's to be expected but main bed was a good size, ie not a small double, so that was great. It was super hot but aircon worked well and kept us cool all night. The site itself was great. Our boys (5 and 7) loved the pool area and slides. Restaurant was also very good with quality food. Staff were all very helpful and spoke good English, despite it being mostly French families. Some have mentioned evening entertainment- we didn't try it and it did go on to 1130ish, but we could barely hear it from our chalet. I imagine the tents nearer the main area would hear it more but the site is very clear about it so shouldn't be a surprise. Overall a great stay and we will definitely seek out other Yelloh villages again.
Nice camping ground with a nice restaurant, swimming pool etc. It's really nice for kids and parents of all ages. But every evening of the week at 21:30h massive noise from the camping disco which lasts till midnight! It's so loud it's impossible to read a book or go to bed before midnight. So if you like some evening rest, don't book this camping.Discuss this topic at the reception doesn't help at all, apparently nobody else is complaining...
The actual camping is brilliant but some pitches are very dusty and the river has bacteria and algae in it making it hard to want to go in but the pool is brilliant and the area around is brilliant. If you don’t have a car hire one as the restaurant is a bit of a mic take it’s not terrible just very average high price when there’s amazing restaurants so close I would love to rate it 5 star as it is somewhat deserving of it but the gym is so bad some staff just take the mic
The good:Clean mobile homes (except for the floors).Good air-conditioning.Nice pool and restaurant. Not crowded at all in September.Very friendly welcoming from the reception. And very friendly staff in general.Nice location. Shops and supermarkets close by. Next to a river.Nice sunbeds on the mobile home porch.BBQs you can use by scanning a QR code, awesome. To be improved:The mobile home floors were dirty (not directly visible, but wiping using a wet towel resulted in a black towel). Seemed like they had not been mopped all season. The on site supermarket opened too late. At 8:00 in the morning the week we arrived and at 08:30 in our last week (second week of September). When you have kids you get up early, and it would be nice to be able to get some fresh bread at 07:00 or even 07:30.
Absolutely amazing, great shows, great spots and really nice people. There is also alot to do on the camping a even more in the surrounding area! The river is definitely my favourite attraction but the swimming-pool is fantastic too!
